"Information Sessions and Interviews Online" SKT, First Telecom Company to Implement 'Untact Recruitment'

Amid delays in hiring schedules at major companies due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), not only recruitment briefings but also interviews will be conducted online.

On the 30th, SK Telecom announced the '2021 Junior Talent Recruitment Notice.'

Through the regular recruitment led by SK Group, SK Telecom will recruit talents for marketing and 5G communication infrastructure positions, while also conducting recruitment for New ICT positions such as AI, data, and cloud through its own occasional hiring.

In this process, to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience due to COVID-19, online channels will be actively utilized. Not only will the existing offline recruitment briefings be replaced with online ones, but video call interviews will also be strengthened. This is the first time in the telecommunications industry that recruitment is conducted using an untact method.

SK Telecom plans to broadcast the online recruitment briefing ‘T-Careers Cast’ on April 4th at 1 PM via the SK Group YouTube channel. The recruitment process and job positions will be introduced, and a Q&A session will be held through real-time chat with applicants.

The recruitment website has also been newly revamped. Applicants can obtain vivid information about related job positions through interview videos of members who are actually in charge of the work on the recruitment website.

Heo Jun, head of the HR2 Group, said, “In the COVID-19 situation, we decided to conduct recruitment procedures such as promotion and interviews online to prioritize the safety of applicants,” and added, “We hope applicants experience SK Telecom’s unique talent recruitment process that leads digital innovation.” SK Telecom plans to recruit excellent talents by further strengthening training for interviewers to overcome the limitations of ‘untact recruitment.’
