Sales of pet supplies on G9, operated by eBay Korea, over the past month (2.25~3.26) have grown more than threefold compared to the same period last year. In particular, demand for hygiene products, pet food, and snacks surged.
For hygiene products, sales of dog hygiene products increased by 336%, and cat hygiene products by 444%. Among these, disinfectants and deodorants increased 27 times (2640%), oral hygiene products increased 5 times (446%), and dog diapers increased 9 times (867%). Cat litter mats and scoops also grew more than 10 times (957%).
Demand for pet food and snacks also surged. During the same period, dog food sales increased by 148%, cat food by 334%, dog snacks by 357%, cat snacks by 96%, dog supplements by 450%, and cat supplements by 168%. Especially, as frequent outings became difficult, large-capacity pet food products gained popularity, with sales of large-capacity food increasing by 280%.
As more people tried self-grooming their dogs at home, dog grooming products increased by 336%. Brushes and nail clippers increased by 635%, shampoos and rinses by 363%, and clippers and scissors by 198%. Cat grooming and fashion products also increased by 433%.
Reflecting this demand, G9 is holding the ‘LG Household & Health Care Siriuswill Online Pet Expo’ for pet owners until April 12. Pet food, snacks, and more are offered at discounts of up to 13% off the regular price. This event was organized to allow pet owners who find it difficult to attend offline expos to view various products such as pet food, snacks, and supplements all in one place.

Recently, combined with the social atmosphere, products such as indoor items, pet-exclusive food, and grooming products have all grown significantly.
