Goodbye COVID-19 Geumcheon Residents Idea Contest

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is conducting an idea contest titled "Goodbye COVID-19, Let's Overcome It Together Geumcheon" to derive policy support and response measures following the spread of COVID-19.

This contest was planned to discover residents' innovative and feasible ideas for overcoming COVID-19, including "Ideas to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in the Local Community," "Revitalization of Local Commercial Districts," and "Measures for Livelihood Stability."

The contest period is from March 30 to April 10, and anyone who is a resident of Geumcheon-gu, or a worker, student, or member of an organization located in Geumcheon-gu, can apply.

Those who wish to participate can submit their proposals by following the application form on the "Open Resident Proposal Room" on the online platform Geumcheon1beonga website.

The district plans to review the ideas proposed by residents in real time and take measures to timely reflect them in district administration.

Additionally, in June, through the Geumcheon-gu Proposal Review Committee's deliberation, awards will be given by innovation grade: Grand Prize (1,000,000 KRW), Excellence Award (500,000 KRW), Encouragement Award (300,000 KRW), and Effort Proposal Award (50,000 KRW).

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon said, "So far, thanks to the active and voluntary participation and cooperation of residents, we have been able to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the local community," and added, "We hope that many innovative ideas from residents to overcome COVID-19 together will be discovered through this contest."
