[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 29th episode of tvN's "Hi Bye, Mama!", an exorcist (played by Yang Kyungwon) attempts to take away Cha Yuri's (played by Kim Taehee) daughter Seo Woo (played by Seo Woojin).

Jo Ganghwa, who was playing sticker games with Seo Woo, is surprised when she hears Seo Woo sticking stickers on a family photo and calling her Cha Yuri. Meanwhile, Cha Yuri comes home with a drunken Oh Minjeong (played by Go Bo-gyeol). Jo Ganghwa tells Cha Yuri, "Seo Woo knows your name," but Cha Yuri doesn't believe it, saying, "That's impossible." Jo Ganghwa shows the photo with the stickers Seo Woo put on it and explains, "The sticker Seo Woo put on is Cha Yuri." Taking the photo, Cha Yuri sobs, saying, "She kept looking at me."

Cha Yuri says, "Hyunjung unnie (played by Shin Dongmi) must have heard me calling my name. I'm sorry." But Jo Ganghwa asks, "Why are you going this far?" and suggests telling Seo Woo that she is her mother and also telling Minjeong. Then she says, "Is it right for you to keep tearing your heart out while looking at Seo Woo, and Minjeong keeps being deceived like this?" She feels frustrated. However, Cha Yuri keeps crying and repeating, "No."

Meanwhile, Go Hyunjung feels troubled after hearing from Oh Minjeong that she loves Jo Ganghwa so much that she won't get a divorce. Gye Geunsang (played by Oh Eui-sik) finds Go Hyunjung's behavior strange.

After parting with Jo Ganghwa and heading home, Cha Yuri encounters the exorcist (Yang Kyungwon). When the exorcist says "Hello," Cha Yuri ignores him, saying, "What is this?" At that moment, the exorcist grabs Cha Yuri's hand and says, "I came to take your daughter." As Cha Yuri is terrified, Midongdaek snatches Cha Yuri away from the exorcist.

Midongdaek tells the exorcist to keep the code of honor and says, "I'll take care of these kids." However, the exorcist tells Midongdaek to get a grip and says Cha Yuri is not a friend but a livelihood. Then he tells Cha Yuri, "Let's meet with your daughter next time." Shocked, Cha Yuri asks Midongdaek what is going on, and Midongdaek says that if Seo Woo keeps seeing ghosts, "you'll have to live like me or that exorcist earlier." Then she tries to persuade Cha Yuri, asking, "Don't you still have no intention of finding your place?" but Cha Yuri says she can't do that.

Oh Minjeong smiles as she sticks a photo of Go Hyunjung, Cha Yuri, and herself on the refrigerator. Jo Ganghwa is looking at the photo on the fridge, and Oh Minjeong says, "You've gotten close, haven't you?" Jo Ganghwa asks, "Yeah? Do you like it?" and Oh Minjeong replies, "Yes, I laugh a lot when we're together." Then she says to Oh Minjeong, "Let's change the after-school helper."

Cha Yuri meets Seo Woo and Oh Minjeong in front of the apartment. Cha Yuri says she was on her way and walks with Oh Minjeong and Seo Woo. Oh Minjeong says, "I don't think I usually like kids, but I think I only like our Seo Woo." Then Cha Yuri evasively replies, "I like all kids, but Seo Woo is especially pretty." Oh Minjeong says, "They say if you like a child, you want to get married," adding, "You’re not married yet, so unnie (older sister)..."

Jo Ganghwa realizes something has been strange about Cha Yuri since she first appeared. The fact that she immediately recognized the grandmother's symptoms during the previous grandmother's accident, that she knew about Oh Minjeong, and that she wasn't surprised when she first saw Jo Ganghwa all felt odd. When she tells Go Hyunjung about this, Go Hyunjung just cries, not knowing what to do.

Meanwhile, Cha Yuri gives Oh Minjeong a personal alarm and a collapsible baton to defend herself against the exorcist, telling her to use them if anything happens.

Jo Ganghwa meets Cha Yuri's father, Cha Mupung (played by Park Sooyoung), in front of Cha Yuri's parental home. When she confides that she doesn't know what's going on these days, Cha Mupung says, "Live your life as you used to, and we'll live ours. So just live shamelessly." He also thanks her for raising Seo Woo beautifully.

Jeon Eunsook asks Cha Yuri if she can stop being the academy helper, and Cha Yuri is surprised that her mother knows about it. Jeon Eunsook suggests, "You shouldn't deceive someone who knows nothing like this. Just tell Ganghwa and ask to see the child sometimes." But Cha Yuri says no and apologizes to her mother.

Jo Ganghwa takes Seo Woo out, saying she is going on a trip with Gye Geunsang and the child. However, the place they go to is Cha Yuri's parental home. While Seo Woo meets Cha Yuri's family, Oh Minjeong runs into Go Hyunjung while coming out from grocery shopping. Seeing Go Hyunjung with her son, Oh Minjeong realizes that Jo Ganghwa lied to her.

While bringing Seo Woo from Cha Yuri's house, Jo Ganghwa receives a text from Oh Minjeong. At that moment, a voice calling "Seo Woo" is heard. Hearing the voice, Seo Woo approaches the exorcist. The exorcist places his hand over Seo Woo's head. At that moment, Jo Ganghwa grabs Seo Woo and asks, "Who are you?" The exorcist replies, "Cha Yuri's friend. Don't you know Cha Yuri? The ghost who was with the baby right beside you. For a full five years."

Jo Ganghwa runs to Cha Yuri, sobbing that she has been by her side all this time. She also looks at Cha Yuri, saying that she suffered in front of Cha Yuri's death, then met Oh Minjeong, fell in new love, and even got married, witnessing all of it.
