One More COVID-19 Death at Gyeongsan Seoyoyang Hospital... Total 158 Deaths in Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] An additional death due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has occurred in Gyeongbuk. This brings the total number of domestic deaths from COVID-19 to 158.

According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 29th, at around 2:20 PM, patient A (86-year-old female), who was being treated at Andong Medical Center, passed away.

Patient A had been hospitalized at Seoyoyang Nursing Hospital in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk since January 28. During a full inspection of the nursing hospital, she was confirmed positive on the 20th. She was then transferred to Andong Medical Center, where she received intensive treatment for fever and pneumonia. It is known that patient A had underlying conditions including dementia, hypertension, and Parkinson's disease.

Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed at Seoyoyang Nursing Hospital on the 19th, a total of 55 cases have been confirmed there as of today.
