SSG.com to Host 'Department Store SSG Sale Week'... Up to 88% Discount

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] SSG.com is partnering with offline businesses struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic to launch a large-scale discount event aimed at revitalizing frozen consumer sentiment.


SSG.com announced on the 29th that it will hold the "Department Store SSG Sale Week" for two weeks from the 30th of this month to the 12th of next month. During the two weeks, a total of over 400 brands and more than 12,000 products will be sold at discounts of up to 88%, ranging from fashion brand "family sales" to exclusive luxury cosmetics special exhibitions.


To ensure smooth operation of the event, SSG.com will divide the period into the "1st Department Store SSG Sale Week" from the 30th to the 5th of next month, and the "2nd Department Store SSG Sale Week" from the 6th to the 12th.


During the first event, an online family sale will be held offering up to 70% discounts on women's clothing brands such as "On&On," "Joy Gryson," and "Lapaette." Family sales are typically held offline with steep discounts for VIP customers or company employees, but due to the spread of COVID-19, this event is conducted online in the spirit of mutual growth with partners.


Representative products include the "Double Pocket Tweed Jacket" at a 50% discount, the "Naomi Crossbag" at 60%, and the "Saba Tote Bag" at 75% off. Special luxury cosmetics events featuring brands like "Est?e Lauder," "MAC," and "Yves Saint Laurent," as well as an exclusive 50% discount event for the luxury brand "Coach," will be held simultaneously. Amorepacific's "Jaum 2-piece set" and "Hera Black Cushion" are also available at 27% discounted prices.


The second event will also feature online family sales of famous domestic and international fashion brands. Brands such as "CC Collect" and "Juke" will be discounted up to 78%. Representative products include Juke's new item this year, the "Half Trench Coat," at 58% off, and last fall's most popular item, the "Check Double Jacket," at 78% off. Along with special discounts on "Chicor" beauty products, an outdoor hot deal special featuring brands like "Nepa" and "Columbia" will be held. The "Marie Claire" discount event will also be showcased, with representative products such as the "Linen Summer Dress" at 40% off and the "Corduroy Long Shirt" exclusively sold at an 88% discount.


Meanwhile, SSG.com has prepared a free return event for two weeks. Customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW worth of Shinsegae Department Store products during the event period can return items for free regardless of size, color, or simple change of mind, and can freely apply through the SSG.com app or customer center. However, installation fees for electronics or furniture, food items, and re-returns of the same product are excluded.
