'Bap Bless You 2' Production Team Tests Positive for COVID-19 → Entire Production Team Self-Quarantined

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] One of the production staff members of Olive's 'Bob Bless You 2' tested positive for the novel coronavirus (hereinafter COVID-19), prompting all production staff to undergo COVID-19 tests and enter a two-week self-quarantine.

Director Hwang In-young PD stated in a phone interview with a media outlet on the 29th, "All production staff underwent COVID-19 testing yesterday (28th). Since the timing of test results varies by health center, we will disclose the final results once all are compiled."

He also mentioned, "There are very few close contacts with the PD who tested positive for COVID-19," adding, "Nevertheless, we are doing our best to respond in preparation for any possible secondary infections."

Earlier, one CJ ENM employee was confirmed positive for COVID-19. As the employee was identified as part of the 'Bob Bless You 2' production team, all production and cast members underwent COVID-19 testing. The confirmed employee is a junior-level PD who was recently confirmed to have traveled to the United States.

Regarding this, Director Hwang explained, "(The employee) was newly assigned to our team and was partially involved in work," adding, "Fortunately, there were no close contacts among the cast or external staff."

He further explained, "Even if the test results come back 'negative,' a two-week self-quarantine is required, so all scheduled filming and production activities are currently halted."

Meanwhile, CJ ENM is reported to have closed its Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu headquarters and initiated emergency disinfection measures.
