[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 28th episode of "Hi Bye, Mama!", Cha Yuri, Oh Minjeong, and Go Hyunjung are shown deepening their friendship even further.
On that day, Cha Yuri (played by Kim Taehee), who collapsed while trying to save an elderly woman hit by a car, recalls her own accident. Seeing the grandmother's soul trying to leave her body, Cha Yuri calls for help, saying the grandmother is dying. Just then, Jo Ganghwa (played by Lee Kyuhyung), who received Cha Yuri's call and rushed over, is urged to perform emergency treatment on the grandmother.
After overcoming the critical moment, in the lobby, Jo Ganghwa asks Cha Yuri how she knew the grandmother's life was in danger, and Cha Yuri evasively replies, "I had a golden time instinct." As a flustered Cha Yuri tries to leave, Jo Ganghwa asks, "Are you okay inside?" and tells her, "At least drink some honey water," which makes Cha Yuri recall her past. Jo Ganghwa also feels sorry as he remembers Cha Yuri, who was unable to regain her composure after drinking with Go Hyunjung (played by Shin Dongmi) and Oh Minjeong (played by Go Bogyeol) earlier.
Meanwhile, Midongdaek (played by Yoon Sabong) meets an exorcist (played by Yang Kyungwon) at her door and, startled, closes it. The exorcist persuades Midongdaek, saying, "You know this isn't something you can avoid," and asks to talk face-to-face. Midongdaek fears, asking, "Why did an elite exorcist come here?" The exorcist replies that he came to solve the 0% success rate columbarium that can't even handle one suicidal ghost.
He then asks, "What about them, Cha Yuri and Jo Seo-woo (played by Seo Woojin)?" and "When will you deal with the revelation you received from above?" Midongdaek answers, "I will handle it myself. They are pitiful kids," but the exorcist coldly says, "You're still far from it, Midongdaek. There is no ghost in this world that isn't pitiful."
Jeon Eunsook (played by Kim Mikyung), Yuri's mother, runs into Go Hyunjung on the street and enters Go Hyunjung's shop to have coffee. Jeon Eunsook brings up that Cha Yuri is helping with Seo-woo's daycare, and Go Hyunjung asks, "You must be happy about that." Jeon Eunsook smiles happily, saying, "I have no regrets even if I die now."
On her way home with her mother from Go Hyunjung's shop, Cha Yuri stops by a clothing store to buy clothes for her younger sister Cha Yeonji (played by Kim Misu). Cha Yeonji, also returning home from work, buys clothes at the same store and leaves them in Cha Yuri's room. Discovering the identical clothes in their respective rooms, Cha Yuri and Cha Yeonji smile at each other.
Meanwhile, Oh Minjeong (played by Go Bogyeol) tells Go Hyunjung and Cha Yuri that she plans to get closer to them from now on, which surprises Jo Ganghwa.
Go Hyunjung, who met Midongdaek, asks how much time Cha Yuri has left, and Midongdaek replies, "About 20 days." Go Hyunjung asks why Yuri can't take the place of Jo Ganghwa's wife now, but Midongdaek says that's not how it works. Go Hyunjung continues to ask Midongdaek for a way to save Cha Yuri, but Midongdaek cannot give a proper answer.
Go Hyunjung, Cha Yuri, and Oh Minjeong see a mother of a friend from Seo-woo's daycare spreading bad rumors about Oh Minjeong via KakaoTalk. The three band together to sternly scold the mother, strengthening their bond. Oh Minjeong confesses to Go Hyunjung, "I was so exhausted that I was going to get a divorce," and shares the difficulties of marrying Jo Ganghwa, who lost his wife and has a child. However, she tearfully says she will not divorce because she loves him too much.
Meanwhile, Jo Ganghwa discovers a surprising fact while playing sticker games with Seo-woo: Seo-woo says the name "Cha Yuri."
The tvN drama "Hi Bye, Mama!" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
