[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] The Korea Economic Party announced on the 27th that it has recruited former Future United Party lawmaker Lee Eun-jae as the number one proportional representation candidate.

A representative of the Korea Economic Party stated, "Although Representative Lee has some controversies, she possesses a warm-hearted motherly leadership and understands conservative values better than anyone else," adding, "She has outstanding combat ability, so we judged her suitable as the leader and after persistent efforts, we were able to bring her on board. Before the start of the election campaign, she will operate as a co-representative along with a famous economist."

It is known that Lee's nomination by the Christian Liberty Unification Party was not finalized due to a controversy regarding her being a 'Bulja (Buddhist child)'.

The Korea Economic Party selected Bang Hyeong-rin, former full-time auditor of the IBK Capital Audit Committee, as the number two proportional representation candidate. He previously served as an executive at Cheil Worldwide, president of Soft Forum, CEO of Sejong Robot, and chairman of the Korea Musical Promotion Association.

The number three candidate is Professor Cheon Eun-mi of the Respiratory Medicine Department at Ewha Mokdong Hospital, and number four is Choi Jong-ho, former editor-in-chief of Sisa Focus and critic, who is also the secretary-general of the Korea Economic Party.

Former Busan City Council member Jeon Jin-young, a former broadcaster who participated in the founding of the People's Party, was selected as number five. Candidate Park Won-hee, number six, was eliminated from the Future Korea Party candidacy.

The Korea Economic Party stated, "We will align our line with the Future United Party and conduct election campaigns," adding, "We will create a storm that surpasses 10% in party support ratings."
