Asian Major Stock Markets Close Mixed... Europe Declines in Early Trading

[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] Despite the sharp rise in the US New York stock market, major Asian stock markets showed mixed trends on the 27th. European markets, which have started trading, are showing a decline in the early session.


On this day, the Hang Seng Index in the Hong Kong stock market closed at 23,484.28, up 0.56% from the previous session. Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 3.88% to 19,389.43, and the TOPIX index increased 4.30% to 1,459.49.


South Korea's KOSPI and KOSDAQ indices also closed up 1.87% and 1.20%, respectively.


In the Chinese stock market, the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,772.20, up 0.26% from the previous session, but the Shenzhen Composite Index fell 0.46% to 1,693.35.


Taiwan's TAIEX index closed down 0.38% at 9,698.92. Australia's S&P ASX 200 index recorded a decline of 5.30%.


Although the Dow Jones Industrial Average in the New York stock market surged 6.38% from the previous session the day before, Asian stock markets showed mixed movements. The Dollar Index, which shows the value of the dollar against major currencies, was down 0.201 to 99.151 compared to the previous session.


On the same day, European markets are uniformly declining in the early session.


As of 5:20 PM Korea time, the UK FTSE 100 index is trading at 5,606.34, down 3.60% from the previous trading day. The France CAC 40 index is down 2.03%, and the Germany DAX index is down 2.01%.
