Candidate Idal-gon: "Establish Gyeongnam Postal Administration in Jinhae... Expecting to Become a Logistics Hub" Idal-gon

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Lee Dal-gon, the United Future Party candidate for Changwon Jinhae district (photo), announced on the 27th a "Jinhae Economic Revitalization Relay Pledge" that includes the plan to "establish the Gyeongnam Postal Administration Office in Jinhae."

Candidate Lee stated, "If the Gyeongnam Postal Administration Office is established in Jinhae, Jinhae will leap forward as the logistics hub of Gyeongnam, generating new economic effects amounting to 20 billion KRW and creating employment opportunities for about 10,000 people annually."

He also said, "Currently, the postal administration offices in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam are separately established and contribute to their regional economies, but Gyeongnam is affiliated with the Busan office, causing losses as Busan benefits from Gyeongnam's economic gains. We will start economic revitalization by identifying and improving such regional discriminatory factors and properly securing the shares for Gyeongnam, Changwon, and Jinhae."

Currently, there are nine regional postal administration offices operating: Seoul, Gyeongin, Busan, Chungcheong, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, Gangwon, and Jeju, with their locations serving as logistics hubs for each region.

Candidate Lee previously served as a member of the 18th National Assembly, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Senior Secretary to the President for Political Affairs at the Blue House.
