[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] At Jaimiju Hospital, which shares the same building as Daesil Nursing Hospital in Daegu where 90 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were identified, more than 50 confirmed cases have emerged.
On the 27th, Kim Jong-yeon, Deputy Director of the Daegu Infectious Disease Management Support Group, stated at the regular COVID-19 response briefing, "A large number of confirmed cases have been identified at Jaimiju Hospital, which shares the same building as Daesil Nursing Hospital." He added, "In this building, which has 72 staff members and 286 patients, one person was initially confirmed positive, and following a full investigation conducted the previous day, 51 confirmed cases were found." Among the 51 confirmed cases, one is a staff member and 50 are patients.
The building housing these hospitals is known to have Daesil Nursing Hospital occupying floors 3 to 7, and Jaimiju Hospital occupying floors 8 to 11.
