[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] Gugak artist Kim Young-im opened up about her frustration over her husband Lee Sang-hae's neglectful health management.

On the 27th, KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard' aired a segment titled "If you listen well to your wife, even while sleeping, rice cakes will appear?" where they had a conversation on the topic.

Kim Young-im said about her husband Lee Sang-hae, "My husband doesn't go to the hospital. He habitually said, 'I'm so healthy, why would I go to the hospital?'" She added, "When I booked an annual health checkup for him, he got angry saying, 'What's wrong with me that I need to go to the hospital?' I was so frustrated that I even thought, 'How can I live with a man like that?'"

Kim Young-im revealed that Lee Sang-hae was diagnosed with stomach cancer, saying, "My husband looked fine on the outside, but when he went to the hospital for a health checkup, I felt like the sky was falling. Even now, thinking about that moment chokes me up." She added, "If he hadn't taken that test and a year had passed, it would have been so serious that he wouldn't be here now."

She continued, "About a year later, my husband went to the doctor and asked when he could start drinking alcohol again. Even after the surgery, he drank a little, which worried me a lot." She said, "It seemed like his body was sending signals, so from then on, he restrained himself."

Hearing this, Choi Byung-se said, "Brother Lee Sang-hae is truly blessed. Sister-in-law is really a blessing sent from heaven," praising her.
