Milkute Ambassador Oh Young-joo Recommends a Glass of Milk to Boost Immunity

In the reality show "Let's Fly 2," which captures the authentic challenges of becoming a flight attendant, Oh Young-joo transformed into a flight attendant, attracting attention with her elegant appearance and fluent English skills. Following the reality program "Heart Signal Season 2," where she was also in the spotlight throughout the broadcast, Oh Young-joo continues to receive consistent love. Photos revealed through her occasional updates on SNS channels showcase her slim and toned figure, making her a role model admired by women in their 20s and 30s.

Additionally, known as a fitness enthusiast, Oh Young-joo is continuing her role as a "Milk Eat Ambassador" this year, following last year, and plans to focus on showing diet management and exercise routines involving milk.

By browsing her SNS channels, one can truly feel her love for milk. She especially mentioned, "Drinking milk after exercise helps replenish protein and build muscles," and added, "Eating habits are as important as exercise. To control weight, I recommend reducing instant foods and flour as much as possible and instead making sure to drink milk. It might be difficult at first, but drinking milk whenever you feel hungry quickly provides satiety and helps reduce other snacking."

Meanwhile, due to the COVID-19 situation, as the time spent at home has increased, more people prefer to have meals at home and exercise at home rather than going to the gym. Also, there is growing interest in boosting immunity to prevent COVID-19. In this regard, Milk Eat Ambassador Oh Young-joo revealed her own effective "indoor exercise methods" and "milk recipes" to enhance self-immunity.

■ 'Indoor Exercise Methods' Possible with Just a Mat at Home

1. Stand in place and step one leg backward first.

2. Bend both knees to squat down, then stand up and return to the starting position.

3. Repeat the same with the opposite leg.

4. Perform 20 repetitions per leg, 3 to 4 sets.

(Tip: Engage your core to prevent your upper body from swaying forward or backward during the movement.)

1. Narrow the stance compared to the in-place cross lunge.

2. Relax the back leg as much as possible, and bend and straighten the front knee using only the strength of the front leg.

3. Perform until the muscles feel stretched for each leg. Do one set for the right leg and one set for the left leg.

(Tip: Lean your upper body forward significantly and lift the heel of the back foot as high as possible to shift your body weight onto the front foot.)

1. Grab the back of one thigh with both hands.

2. Pull the knee toward your chest while bending it.

3. Straighten the knee fully as if pushing the ceiling with your heel.

4. Perform 20 repetitions per leg, 1 set.

(Tip: Inhale while bending the knee and exhale while straightening it.)

1. With knees straight, flex and extend the ankle. Make sure the knees do not move while moving the ankles.

2. Perform 20 repetitions per leg, 1 set.

(Tip: Exhale while pushing the heel toward the ceiling, and inhale while flattening the sole again.)

■ 'Blueberry Banana Smoothie' Easily Made at Home

200ml white milk, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 banana

Put 200ml white milk, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, and 1 banana into a blender and blend until smooth. It is better to use frozen fruit rather than fresh fruit, and you can adjust the sweetness with honey or syrup according to your preference.

Meanwhile, Milk Eat Ambassador Oh Young-joo plans to generously share health know-how such as exercise methods involving milk and milk-based recipes through her YouTube and Instagram channels for 10 months from March to December this year.
