Approximately 190 Passengers Scheduled to Board
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Air Seoul announced on the 26th that it will operate a charter flight on April 7th to transport overseas Koreans residing in Vietnam back to Korea. Among low-cost carriers (LCCs), Air Seoul is the first to operate a charter flight specifically for transporting expatriates.
According to Air Seoul, this charter flight was arranged at the request of the Central Vietnam Korean Association. Currently, all flights between Korea and Vietnam have been suspended, leaving expatriates in central regions such as Danang, Hoi An, Quang Nam, and Hue stranded.
Air Seoul's Danang~Incheon charter flight will depart Danang at 11 a.m. on the 7th of next month and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 6 p.m. Approximately 190 of our expatriates are expected to board the charter flight.
An Air Seoul official stated, "Upon hearing that local expatriates are in a serious situation due to visa expirations and the suspension of all international flights causing anxiety, we decided to deploy a charter flight. Additionally, there are more expatriates wishing to return, so we are considering additional flights in April. We will work closely with the Korean Association and the Consulate General to ensure safe transportation."
