[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] On the 25th, China reported 67 new COVID-19 cases and 6 additional deaths in one day. All 67 new cases were imported from overseas, infected outside of China.
On the 26th, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, 67 new COVID-19 cases were added in China. No new infections were reported within China, including Wuhan, Hubei Province, known as the origin of COVID-19.
All 67 cases were imported from abroad, with new cases reported in Shanghai (18), Inner Mongolia (12), Guangdong Province (11), Beijing (6), Fujian Province (6), Shanxi Province (3), Tianjin (2), Zhejiang Province (2), Jiangsu Province (2), Yunnan Province (2), Shaanxi Province (1), Jilin Province (1), and Henan Province (1). The total cumulative number of imported COVID-19 cases is 541.
The total cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China is 81,285. Among them, 74,051 patients have recovered and been discharged, and 3,287 have died. Currently, 3,947 confirmed patients are receiving treatment in hospitals. There are 159 suspected cases, and 14,714 close contacts are under medical observation.
Outside mainland China, a total of 675 confirmed cases have been reported: Hong Kong with 410 cases (106 discharged, 4 deaths), Macau with 30 cases (10 discharged), and Taiwan with 235 cases (29 discharged, 2 deaths).
