[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] Moon Sung-hyuk, Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, reported assets worth 919.0 million KRW. According to the 2020 regular asset change report disclosed by the Government Ethics Committee on the 26th, as of the end of last year, the total assets held under the names of Minister Moon and his family amounted to 919.43 million KRW, a decrease of 190.96 million KRW.

The largest portion of Minister Moon's assets is real estate. This includes a 101.98㎡ apartment in Namcheon-dong, Busan, jointly owned with his spouse, and an apartment in Malm?, Sweden, where the World Maritime University, his former workplace, is located, totaling approximately 1.2 billion KRW. He also owns deposits worth 217.4 million KRW and oil paintings valued at 6.21 million KRW. Additionally, he reported debts of 590.58 million KRW, including mortgage loans on the apartment.

Kim Yang-soo, Vice Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, reported assets worth 1.94075 billion KRW under his and his family's names, an increase of 270.22 million KRW over one year. Most of his assets are also apartments. He sold a 59.8㎡ apartment in Sejong City under his name and jointly owns an 84.9㎡ apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with his spouse. The current value totals 940 million KRW. He also holds a leasehold right on an apartment in Seocho-dong worth 670 million KRW under his name.
