[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine announced on the 25th that it has been designated as a 'National Safe Hospital' where patients can safely receive treatment from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The National Safe Hospital, designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, refers to hospitals that separate the treatment processes of respiratory patients and non-respiratory patients to prevent in-hospital COVID-19 infections and implement infection prevention measures above the national recommended level.
To prevent in-hospital COVID-19 infections, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, has established a dedicated pathway for respiratory patients so that non-respiratory patients with spinal and joint diseases can receive treatment with peace of mind. In addition, thorough facility disinfection is conducted for patient safety, and temperature checks, respiratory disease symptoms, and visit histories are meticulously monitored for all visitors. Visits have also been prohibited to block the influx of external infection sources.
Lee Jin-ho, director of Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, said, "With the designation as a National Safe Hospital, patients with spinal and joint diseases can visit the hospital and receive treatment with confidence," adding, "We will contribute to overcoming COVID-19 through thorough infection control at all times."
