[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Shin-won] The university student tracking group 'Bulkkot,' which first exposed the reality of the so-called 'n-bunbang' case involving the distribution of sexual exploitation materials of women in secret Telegram chat rooms, revealed that not only the n-bunbang but also Telegram chat rooms where sexual exploitation materials are exchanged are still active.
On the 25th, the tracking group 'Bulkkot' appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' and said, "We are monitoring Telegram chat rooms where sexual exploitation materials such as n-bunbang are circulated," adding, "No matter how many 'doctors' are caught, many perpetrators are still active on Telegram, so although it is chaotic, sexual exploitation videos occasionally appear."
They continued, "In fact, some people do feel fear," but "If anyone shows signs of anxiety, they encourage each other by saying things like 'If even the FBI gave up, how can our country handle this? It’s absolutely unbreakable, don’t be scared, guys,' reassuring each other."
They also explained, "Because they know well that they won’t receive heavy punishment, they say things like 'At most, we won’t get more than five years,'" and "They organize among themselves how much those previously caught received and say things like 'It ends with probation'."
Regarding the reason for starting undercover reporting, they said, "Since digital sex crimes are widespread in society, we decided to investigate and discovered a site called 'AV Snoop' operated by Watchman," adding, "There was a link to a Telegram room address on that site, so I went in and found things beyond imagination."
They added, "Not to mention illegal recordings, there were very young children who looked like elementary and middle school students being threatened to perform abnormal acts, which was shocking," and "While looking at these young children, some held appraisal sessions commenting on things like whose chest or legs were pretty. Moreover, personal information such as age and region was posted, and there were countless comments about going to find them and do something."
Regarding the participants in the chat rooms, they said, "In the past few days, we started uncovering the identities of the perpetrators, including Seoul National University students and middle school students," and "Most seem to be high school or university students, saying things like they have to go for physical exams or prepare for the college entrance exam but are stuck in this room, so they are doomed."
Finally, they urged countermeasures, saying, "There is a need for large-scale sex education for students from an early age for educational purposes," and "Above all, the level of punishment must be significantly increased."
