Adidas Donates 10,000 Masks to Medical Staff in Daegu Region

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Jo] Global sports company Adidas Korea announced on the 25th that it will donate 10,000 protective masks to key hospitals in the Daegu area to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and help overcome the damage.

Adidas explained that this is to provide practical assistance to the medical staff and quarantine personnel at Daegu Medical Center and Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital, who are dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients.

As COVID-19 spreads nationwide, hospitals in Daegu city still face a significant shortage of mask supplies compared to the required amount. The N95 masks supported by Adidas are first-class dust masks that filter out up to 95% of fine particles.

A representative of Adidas Korea said, “We decided to participate in the donation to offer a small help to the medical staff and related personnel who are tirelessly devoted to protecting the lives of the people despite difficult conditions,” and added, “Although these are challenging times, we hope to overcome the difficulties soon so that everyone can return to a healthy daily life.”
