Gwanak-gu Conducts Disinfection for 200 Vulnerable Households

Zeroing COVID-19 Blind Spots...Support for Elderly Recipients Living in Semi-Basements and Registered Disabled Households...Eco-Friendly Disinfectants Prevent Infections, Remove Mold, and Eliminate Odors

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) announced that it will provide disinfection services to 200 vulnerable households by April.

The purpose is to visit vulnerable households in the area that are blind spots for COVID-19 disinfection, disinfect various places to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases, and create a pleasant living environment to enhance housing stability for vulnerable groups.

The support targets are households living in semi-basements in the area, consisting of basic livelihood recipients aged 65 or older who are registered disabled persons, representing vulnerable groups in blind spots for disinfection.

This disinfection will be carried out using harmless effective microorganisms (EM) certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Environmental Agency, along with alcohol.

In addition to preventing the spread of infectious diseases, it is effective in pest extermination, sewage odor removal, and mold removal, and is expected to greatly contribute to creating a pleasant living environment for vulnerable households living in semi-basements.

The district plans to expand the scope of disinfection support projects for vulnerable households based on user satisfaction in the future.

Mayor Park Junhee said, “We will expand the housing disinfection support project to ensure that no residents are left in disinfection blind spots, alleviating residents’ worries and anxieties about the spread of COVID-19 infection,” and added, “We will continue to spare no support to improve the pleasant and safe living environment and housing welfare of vulnerable groups.”
