On the 20th, 5,000 units of 600ml small spray disinfectants were produced by subdividing large-capacity disinfectants... Distributed to closed multi-use facilities on the 25th 'Quarantine Supplies Sharing Day'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Seo Yang-ho) announced on the 20th that it produced 5,000 small spray disinfectants by subdividing large-capacity disinfectants in the basement level 1 of Jung-gu Office.
This is an alternative prepared by the district to secure small spray-type disinfectants necessary for daily quarantine as disinfectants, which are used routinely due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, have become scarce and prices have soared.
In addition to district employees, 10 safety officers who usually inspect and report safety negligence practices or daily life risk factors, and 11 volunteers participated in the disinfectant subdivision work to lend their support.
The participants individually filled large-capacity disinfectants into 600㎖ spray bottles and attached guide stickers with personal prevention rules.
A volunteer who participated in the work that day said, "I felt proud to be able to participate in meaningful volunteer work during this difficult time due to COVID-19," and added, "We worked together with district office staff to make these with sincerity. I hope this helps a little in overcoming COVID-19, and I will actively participate if such opportunities arise again."
Seo Yang-ho, Mayor of Jung-gu who was present at the event, encouraged the volunteers' efforts by saying, "The precious disinfectants you made together will support residents to carry out daily quarantine by themselves. Furthermore, we will establish a seamless daily quarantine network with the district office and residents and do our best in COVID-19 prevention. I thank everyone who took the time to participate in volunteering."
The district has designated the period until the 20th as an intensive quarantine period and has completed the first round of disinfection for all enclosed multi-use facilities in the district. Starting from the 23rd, it plans to enter daily life quarantine practice with public-private cooperation in preparation for the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
Accordingly, the 25th has been designated as "Disinfection Supplies Sharing Day," and small spray disinfectants, which are ready for self-disinfection at each workplace, will be distributed along with hand towels with disinfection instructions attached.
