Kigye Sanup Jinheonghoe Accepts Nominations for Machine Robot Industry Development Merit Awards

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Machine Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Son Dong-yeon) announced on the 23rd that it is accepting applications for the '2020 Machine Robot Industry Development Merit Awards.'


Applications for this award, which will be accepted until April 17, have been implemented since 1984 to boost the pride of meritorious individuals and companies who contributed to the technology development and commercialization of the capital goods industry, and to strengthen national competitiveness through pioneering new markets and creating jobs. In particular, the machine industry, a core of the capital goods industry, achieved $50 billion in general machinery exports for two consecutive years and ranked second in exports for five consecutive years despite difficult conditions such as the US-China trade dispute and Japan's export restrictions last year.

Anyone who has worked as a worker, executive, company, or support organization striving for the development of the capital goods industry can apply for this award. The association plans to widely discover hidden meritorious persons who have worked in the industrial field to boost the morale of those engaged in the capital goods industry and to encourage the localization and quality improvement of our capital goods. A representative of the Machine Industry Promotion Association stated, "This year is an important year requiring significant changes and innovations in the machine industry due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We hope for active participation from individuals and companies in the Machine Robot Industry Development Merit Awards, which will be an opportunity for corporate promotion and boosting worker morale."
