[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 23rd that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2020 Let's Add Impact to the World, Up (UP)' (hereinafter Impact UP) in collaboration with the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee and the Honghap Valley Foundation.
Kyobo Life Insurance plans to select startups whose core business is services such as education for children and adolescents, providing opportunities for growth and supporting the creation of new jobs.
Any corporation or prospective entrepreneur capable of creating social value can participate. Applications can be submitted through the Impact UP application website by April 5.
Kyobo Life Insurance will strictly select about 10 teams through written and face-to-face evaluations. Selected companies will receive mentoring programs in legal affairs, investment, IR, marketing, and education and networking programs such as growth hacking, social capital, and business plan writing for one year.
Additionally, co-working space will be provided to support the development of service models on-site, and opportunities will be offered to introduce companies to social ventures, social enterprises, angel investors, etc., through mid-term evaluations and demo days.
A Kyobo Life Insurance official said, “Based on the management philosophy of nurturing true people, Kyobo Life Insurance has carried out various social contribution activities for youth development. Through the Impact UP project, we will strive to create social value for future generations and take the lead in establishing a virtuous cycle ecosystem of impact investment.”
