[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Trainee Pengsu from Antarctica has landed at Emart.
Emart will start selling the ‘Peacock X Pengsu Collaboration Products’ from the 26th. The 'Peacock X Pengsu Collaboration Products' consist of a total of 8 items, mainly large-sized products resembling Pengsu, the giant penguin.
Looking at the features of each product, the ‘Peng-Ha! Three types of calcium-enriched snacks (each 6,980 KRW, 1kg)’ are healthy snacks with added calcium, available in three nostalgic flavors: whelk-shaped, sweet potato-shaped, and twist. The ‘Peng-Love Porridge 3 types (each 5,880 KRW / 450g*2 packs)’ are popular ambient porridge products that can substitute meals. They come in three varieties: beef bone broth porridge, rich abalone porridge, and mixed, preserving the texture of the original ingredients using a moderate temperature cooking method.
The ‘Pengsu Giant Chocolate (15,980 KRW / 850g)’ is a large-sized chocolate boasting ten times the weight of regular chocolate, enriched with cocoa powder from Singapore for a deep flavor. It also contains coffee powder, allowing you to enjoy the aroma and taste of coffee. The ‘Pengsu Choco Pretzel (5,980 KRW / 80g*3 packs)’ reflects the taste preferences of the 20s and 30s who enjoy ‘sweet and salty’ flavors, coating savory and salty pretzels with chocolate.
Additionally, the Peacock Pengsu Giant Chocolate includes a ‘Mini Pengsu Making Kit’ using cushioning material, and the other products randomly contain ‘Pengsu Stickers 6 types.’
Meanwhile, Emart plans to release four limited-edition rental shopping bags in collaboration with Pengsu in April.
Choi Hoonhak, Emart’s marketing manager, said, “The collaboration with Pengsu is part of a marketing strategy to encourage the 20s and 30s generation, who are accustomed to online shopping, to visit offline Emart stores. We will continue to think about what customers want through customer-centric thinking and proactively propose various products that meet those needs.”
