[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Four patients diagnosed with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Daegu have died.


According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 22nd, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country has increased to 110.


The patients were in their 70s to 80s and had underlying conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.


A (71), who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 7th and was receiving inpatient treatment at Daegu Fatima Hospital, died on this day.


Earlier at 8:02 a.m., COVID-19 patient B (84) died at Kyungpook National University Hospital. B, who had been hospitalized at Dalseo-gu Seongseo Hoho Nursing Hospital, was transferred to Kyungpook National University Hospital after being diagnosed on the 19th. He had underlying conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.


At 7:25 a.m., COVID-19 patient C (88) also died at Daegu Medical Center. C, who was diagnosed on the 5th, was found to have hypertension and diabetes.


At 3:50 a.m., another confirmed patient D (86) died at Daegu Medical Center. He was diagnosed on the 18th while hospitalized at Daesil Nursing Hospital and was transferred to Daegu Medical Center. He was reported to have had hypertension and dementia.
