Sungjun Park, Democratic Party Candidate for Jung-gu Seongdong, Conducts Blood Donation Campaign with Local Residents

Candidate Park: "Starting Park Seongjun's Politics with a Blood Donation Campaign Empowering Citizens' Lives"

Sungjun Park, Democratic Party Candidate for Jung-gu Seongdong, Conducts Blood Donation Campaign with Local Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 23rd at 10 a.m., Park Seongjun, the Democratic Party candidate for Seongdong-gu Eul in Jung-gu, Seoul, and his campaign team announced that they will hold a blood donation campaign in front of their campaign office located at the Yaksu-dong intersection.

Due to COVID-19, it was impossible to hold an opening ceremony in a closed space, so the blood donation campaign was organized to convey the reasons and message behind Park Seongjun’s candidacy.

Park Seongjun’s campaign team stated that while considering ways to convey the candidate’s message of wanting to help citizens’ lives, as reflected in the main slogan “From Incident Chief to Life Chief,” they decided to prepare the campaign because the number of blood donors has decreased due to COVID-19, causing difficulties in blood supply for patients in urgent need, and helping these people would be very meaningful.

Furthermore, Park Seongjun conveyed the purpose of the campaign, saying, “Due to the sharp decline in blood donations caused by the COVID-19 situation, many critically ill patients are experiencing difficulties in blood supply. I want to deliver the message that while we all maintain vigilance and caution against COVID-19, we should also look back on and help those in need around us. This will minimize the suffering caused by COVID-19 and help us overcome the crisis quickly.”

Park Seongjun’s campaign plans to strictly enforce safety rules such as wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and measuring body temperature to prevent the risk of COVID-19 infection during the campaign.

Park Seongjun worked as an announcer for 24 years at JTBC and KBS before joining the Democratic Party on February 2nd. On March 2nd, he was strategically nominated as the Democratic Party candidate for Jung-gu Seodong-gu Eul.

After registering as a candidate with the Jung-gu Election Commission on March 10th, he has been actively conducting election campaigns under the slogans “Democratic Party’s Winning Move” and “From Incident Chief to Life Chief,” empathizing with and integrating into the lives of residents in Jung-gu and Seongdong-gu.
