Kim Yong-tae Proposes Final Debate to Yoon Gun-young "No Reason or Justification to Refuse Proposal"

[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Kim Yongtae, a member of the Future United Party running in Guro-eul, Seoul, proposed a final debate to Yoon Geon-young, former head of the Blue House National Planning Situation Room, on the 20th.

On the same day, Kim wrote on his Facebook, "Guro-eul is a place where the Democratic Party of Korea has continuously produced members of the National Assembly for 20 years," adding, "then the Democratic Party must answer why Guro has stagnated and fallen behind during those 20 years."

He said, "I will not insist on asking the reason to candidate Yoon, who has just come to Guro like me," but added, "if you are President Moon Jae-in's confidant and came to Guro as the practical general manager of the Moon administration for three years, you must at least apologize for Guro's stagnation and decline and provide answers about Guro's future vision."

Then, Kim proposed to former Director Yoon, "Let's have a final debate on how to solve the railway and depot issues that are constraining Guro, how to resolve the reconstruction, redevelopment, and remodeling issues of residents whose property rights and right to livelihood are unfairly restricted, and how to handle Guro's future food sources and development direction in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution."

He continued, "If candidate Yoon also presents his pledges and future vision, let's debate those parts together," and said, "Let's have a YouTube live broadcast all night long and let the residents judge who is the right person for Guro's development and who is the person who will definitely accomplish the task if entrusted."

Kim added, "I understand well that the Central Election Commission debates have many restrictions, making it difficult to focus on Guro's current issues," and said, "Since you have handled many current issues as the head of the National Planning Situation Room, I think you have no reason or justification to reject my proposal. I will wait for candidate Yoon's positive response."
