[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] A Blue House petition demanding the public disclosure of personal information of a man in his 20s accused of threatening minors to produce sexual exploitation materials and distributing them on Telegram has gained over 100,000 signatures in just one day.

On the 18th, a petition titled "Please disclose the identity of the Telegram Nth Room suspect and put him on the photo line" was posted on the Blue House petition board. As of 8 p.m. on the 19th, just one day after posting, the petition had received 110,784 signatures.

The petitioner stated, "(The Doctor) has been arrested. Please put the perpetrator who drove others into shame and young students into hell on the photo line."

They continued, "Please do not let him cover his face with a hat or mask," and raised their voice, saying, "Sound the alarm against the distorted sexual mindset of Korean men who pay as much as 1.5 million won to watch sexual exploitation videos."

Furthermore, they emphasized, "If this is not a devil, then what is a devil?" and insisted, "He must be put on the photo line with his bare face."

Earlier, on the 16th, the police arrested a key suspect A in the so-called 'Doctor's Room,' affiliated with the Nth Room case, on charges including violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse, and applied for an arrest warrant on the 18th.

A is accused of operating a paid obscene channel called 'Doctor's Room' on Telegram.

Meanwhile, on the 19th, A underwent a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) for charges including violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (production and distribution of obscene materials) before Judge Won Jeong-sook, who is in charge of warrant hearings at the Seoul Central District Court. The decision on detention is expected to be made as early as that afternoon.
