[Photo] Seocho-gu Council Donates 5 Million Won for COVID-19 Relief Fund

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jong-suk) delivered a donation to the Community Chest of Korea on the 19th to support quarantine supplies for vulnerable groups to overcome COVID-19.

The donation ceremony held in the council reception room was attended by Chairperson An Jong-suk, the chairperson group, council members, and the Director of the Resident Life Bureau.

Chairperson An Jong-suk stated, “First, due to the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease, residents are experiencing more worry and anxiety than ever before. Among them, the vulnerable groups, who are relatively lacking in information and response capabilities, are of greatest concern. I hope that the small sincerity through the reduction of the chairperson group’s business promotion expenses and fundraising will become a spark of hope to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. The council will do its best to fulfill the role it can play at the council level to overcome COVID-19.”

Additionally, Director Kwon Oh-yoo of the Resident Life Bureau added, “Thank you for coming together with your hearts in this national crisis. We will make sure the support is used where it is needed, such as for vulnerable groups.”
