Fubon Hyundai Life Donates 50 Million Won to Overcome COVID-19 Damage

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Fubon Hyundai Life announced on the 19th that it will donate funds to help overcome the damage caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). It will also reduce rent by 50% for confirmed customers and small business tenants within its owned buildings who are experiencing economic difficulties.


Fubon Hyundai Life donated 50 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and requested that the funds be used to support vulnerable groups, medical staff, and quarantined patients who are struggling due to the spread of COVID-19 by providing protective supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers.


Additionally, starting this month, the company is implementing a six-month grace period on premium payments and insurance contract loan interest payments for policyholders or their family members who have tested positive. The application period is until the end of June.


Fubon Hyundai Life is also reducing rent by 50% for small business tenants within its owned buildings who are facing economic difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19, for three months starting from March.


Lee Jae-won, CEO of Fubon Hyundai Life, said, "We hope that the donation and support for confirmed customers will be a small help in overcoming social difficulties," and added, "As a member of society, we plan to carry out broad and active social contribution activities to contribute to the local community and practice sharing love."
