Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has rescheduled the 'April Nationwide Joint Academic Achievement Test,' originally planned for the 28th of next month, to May 7.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education had previously postponed the nationwide joint academic achievement test, initially scheduled for the 8th of next month, to the 28th of the same month due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Gyeonggi Office of Education will oversee the April Nationwide Joint Academic Achievement Test, to be administered on May 7 to all third-year high school students nationwide.
The test covers five subjects: Korean, Mathematics, English, Korean History, and Inquiry (Social Studies and Science).
Hwang Yoon-gyu, Director of the Future Education Policy Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, explained, "The schedule for the April Nationwide Joint Academic Achievement Test was changed again due to the postponement of school openings for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high schools to April 6. The schedule adjustment was decided after comprehensively considering the opinions of city and provincial education office officials and the high school curriculum."
