He is the 55th death in Daegu and the 84th death in South Korea.
According to health authorities on the 17th, an 86-year-old man who was hospitalized at Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital passed away at around 3:15 PM that day.
The deceased was confirmed positive for COVID-19 at the screening clinic of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital on the 26th of last month due to fever and was admitted to Daegu Dongsan Hospital on the 3rd.
Health authorities stated that he had underlying conditions including diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and chronic kidney disease.
