[Public Notice+] Unitecno, 24% Sales Growth Last Year... "Thanks to New Component Demand"

[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] Unitecno showed sales growth last year thanks to new parts demand and the operation of its China factory.

Unitecno announced on the 17th that its consolidated sales last year reached 82 billion KRW, a 23.6% increase compared to the previous year. Operating profit was 5.9 billion KRW, and net profit was 5.5 billion KRW.

Unitecno, a company specializing in plastic parts for automotive electronics, supplies electric vehicle and EV battery cell cases, rotors, and more to global automakers.

A Unitecno official explained, "The supply of new parts due to the launch of new models by major customers drove the sales increase," adding, "In the Jiangsu factory in China, sales are rapidly increasing due to the full-scale sales of battery cell cases and electronic parking brakes (EPB)."

Sales of Unitecno (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. increased fivefold in one year, from 1.1 billion KRW in 2018 to 6.7 billion KRW last year. A Unitecno official said, "With the factory operating rate continuously increasing, we expect profitability to improve this year as well."
