[Breaking] 64-Year-Old Woman Becomes 79th COVID-19 Death in Korea... Suffered from Chronic Kidney Disease On the 8th of this month, 119 ambulances transporting COVID-19 patients are lined up at Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital in Jung-gu, Daegu.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The number of domestic deaths due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has increased to 78.


According to Daegu City on the 16th, at around 10:13 a.m. that day, a 64-year-old woman who was receiving inpatient treatment at Daegu Fatima Hospital passed away. It is known that this woman had underlying conditions including hypertension and chronic kidney disease (chronic nephropathy).


The patient lost consciousness on the 11th and was taken to the emergency room of Daegu Fatima Hospital via 119. On the same day, she was admitted to the intensive care unit and underwent a COVID-19 diagnostic test. On the following day, the 12th, she was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and passed away during inpatient treatment on this day.
