The United United Party's nomination committee announced the results of the primaries for some constituencies including Seoul and Daejeon on the 16th.
In Dongdaemun, Seoul, Lee won the primary, and in Seocho-eul, Park Sung-joong defeated former lawmaker Kang Seok-hoon. In Mapo-eul, former lawmaker Kim Sung-dong won against Kim Cheol, former head of the Public Relations Team at the Presidential Committee on Government Innovation and Decentralization.
Also, in Dongjak-gap, lawyer Jang Jin-young, former secretary to Sohn Hak-kyu, former leader of the Bareunmirae Party, won the competition against Jang Hwan-jin, former vice chairman of the People's Party founding committee, and Doo Young-taek, former executive director of the New Right National Federation, securing the ticket for the general election. In Gangseo-byeong, former People's Party spokesperson Kim Cheol-geun won against former Bareunmirae Party spokesperson Lee Jong-cheol, and in Seongbuk-gap, Han Sang-hak, director of the Korean Dental Clinic, won against Choi Jin-gyu, chairman of the Seongbuk-gap party committee in Seoul.
In Seo-gu-eul, Daejeon, lawyer Yang Hong-gyu and former National Security Committee chairman Jeon Ok-hyun competed in the primary, with lawyer Yang emerging victorious.
