[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation announced on the 16th that it will hire about 100 people, including 30 new employees in 2020, as well as professionals and experiential interns.
First, for this year's new employee recruitment starting in September, the selection method will be improved from last year to hire talented individuals with expertise. First, a common subject (multiple choice) evaluating basic accounting knowledge will be newly established for all recruitment categories in the written test, and the scoring for each written subject will be adjusted. Additional points will also be given in the written test for work-related certifications (lawyer, certified public accountant, actuary, CFA, IT-related professional engineer, etc.). The final successful candidates will be selected by combining the written test score and the second interview score, instead of the current method of selecting based on the second interview score alone.
For professionals, in addition to the existing recruitment of professionals (lawyer, editor, risk analyst), new positions related to health system maintenance and improvement will be established, and suitable health experts will be hired. This is in response to the recent recognition of the need for health-related professionals due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.
Additionally, to provide financial sector work experience and support employment competency enhancement, about 60 experiential interns will be hired in three rounds during vacation periods.
Detailed information on recruitment categories and duties, procedures, and methods can be found in the recruitment announcement to be posted later on the website.
