[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] With only two episodes left until the finale, 'Itaewon Class' has not released a preview, increasing viewers' interest in the ending.
In the 14th episode of JTBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Itaewon Class' (written by Jo Gwang-jin, directed by Kim Sung-yoon) aired on the 14th, the story depicted Park Sae-ro-yi (played by Park Seo-joon) ignoring his feelings despite being concerned about Jo Yi-seo (played by Kim Da-mi).
In the episode, Jo Yi-seo and Park Sae-ro-yi planned to appoint Lee Seo as a new outside director of the Jangga Group. Before the shareholders' meeting, Jo Yi-seo collapsed from overwork, leading Park Sae-ro-yi to realize his feelings for Lee Seo.
Awakened, Park Sae-ro-yi rushed toward Lee Seo, but it was already too late. Jang Geun-won (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) had kidnapped Jo Yi-seo to attack Park Sae-ro-yi. In the ending scene, Park Sae-ro-yi lost consciousness after throwing himself in front of a truck rushing toward an enraged Jang Geun-soo (played by Kim Dong-hee).
After the drama ended that day, the preview for episode 15 was not released. This has sparked viewers' curiosity about the ending, with netizens focusing on whether the drama will follow the original webtoon’s conclusion.
The original ending is known to conclude with a happy ending where Park Sae-ro-yi and Jo Yi-seo confirm their feelings for each other.
Meanwhile, 'Itaewon Class' airs every Friday and Saturday at 10:50 PM.
