In response, Vice President Mike Pence, head of the TF, confirmed that the entry ban will be expanded to include the United Kingdom and Ireland starting at midnight on the 16th. Vice President Pence explained, "The existing entry restrictions applied to Europe will now also include the United Kingdom and Ireland."
President Trump also raised the possibility of travel restrictions on areas within the United States where COVID-19 is spreading.
President Trump revealed that he had undergone a COVID-19 test. The test was conducted on the evening of the 13th, and the results are expected within 1 to 2 days. President Trump stated, "I also underwent a fever screening, and the results were normal."
At a press conference declaring a national emergency the previous day, when questions about COVID-19 testing persisted, President Trump finally announced that he would get tested.
