On this day, Intromedic announced that it had signed a global distribution contract with gene analysis specialist company IoneBio for the diagnostic kit ‘Novel-Cov-19 LAMP PCR Kit,’ which can diagnose COVID-19 infection within 20 minutes.

IoneBio developed the viral gene testing reagent ‘Novel-Cov-19 LAMP PCR Kit’ and completed clinical testing.

This specimen kit is a gene testing reagent that detects the COVID-19 virus gene using an isothermal amplification method based on real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. While utilizing the principle of PCR (gene amplification) currently in use, it incorporates the principle of isothermal amplification, reducing the PCR reaction time and thus shortening the final reporting time.
