An employee of Dongdaemun-gu Office is guiding residents on how to use the 'EM Multifunction Printer' installed in the district office plaza.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) will begin supplying 'Eco-friendly EM (Effective Microorganisms) Fermentation Solution' from 10 a.m. on the 16th.
'EM Fermentation Solution' is a combination and cultivation of beneficial microorganisms such as yeast and lactic acid bacteria, known to be highly effective for △odor removal △water purification △oxidation prevention △food fermentation.
The district plans to distribute a total of 42,500 liters of fermentation solution free of charge to residents by December this year through the 'EM Complex Machines' installed at the district office plaza, Jang-an 1-dong, and Imun 1-dong community centers, one machine at each location.
The 'EM Complex Machines' operate from Monday to Thursday every week. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The supply is limited to 2 bottles (1.8ℓ per bottle) per person per visit. However, the supply volume and hours may be adjusted later depending on the consumption trend of the fermentation solution.
You Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "We have increased the supply volume compared to last year so that residents can use the EM fermentation solution in more places," and added, "We ask residents to actively participate in environmental protection through the daily use of EM fermentation solution."
