[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 11th that it will establish and operate a 'Rapid Review Support Team' and an 'On-site Support Team' to provide swift and smooth financial support to companies affected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Rapid Review Support Team will be newly established and operated at a total of nine locations including the Seoul headquarters, Bucheon, Namdong Industrial Complex (Gyeongin), Pangyo, Suwon (Gyeonggi), Daejeon (Daejeon·Chungcheong), Daegu (Daegu·Gyeongbuk), Busan (Busan·Gyeongnam), and Gwangju (Honam). This team will assign dedicated reviewers to companies affected by COVID-19 when they apply for loans, prioritizing their review and support.
The On-site Support Team will be set up within KB Kookmin Bank’s Small and Medium Enterprise Customer Group. It will monitor difficulties and challenges faced by companies, small business owners, and counseling staff on-site, and work to improve related systems and policies to ensure smooth execution of financial support.
Additionally, 13 KB SOHO Consulting Centers nationwide provide financial support consulting such as policy fund counseling, actively supporting small business owners affected by COVID-19. For self-employed individuals experiencing financial difficulties, the centers utilize 'special contribution agreement guarantees linked with SOHO Consulting Centers' to issue 'financial support recommendation letters' to credit guarantee foundations, facilitating financial assistance.
Although various policy products have been introduced for COVID-19 related financial support, small business owners who have difficulty choosing products can easily receive customized policy fund recommendations by using the non-face-to-face policy fund platform 'KB bridge.'
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will do our best to provide swift and practical support to companies affected by COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to explore various on-site support measures."
