Weather and air service company Kweather Co., Ltd. announced on the 11th that it will sell ‘Clean Spaces’ that guarantee clean air using measurement data.
Kweather, which has implemented air-intelligent spaces in various indoor environments such as offices, schools, libraries, and senior centers, is currently conducting various projects to transform break rooms of various companies and public institutions into air-purified spaces.
Kweather explained, “Clean Spaces guarantee an air quality level of annual fine dust concentration of 5.7㎍/㎥, comparable to the Southern Alps of New Zealand, known for having the cleanest air in the world. These clean spaces are created through the ‘Air Intelligence Module.’”
In fact, the Air Intelligence Module consists of an IoT-based real-time air quality monitor, a ventilation purifier (air circulator) that expels polluted indoor air and filters incoming outdoor air, and a vertical garden that provides optimal humidity and oxygen. The Air Intelligence Module is a solution that creates clean spaces based on real-time measurement data, providing air quality tailored to the characteristics of the space regardless of the type or use of the space such as offices, schools, cafes, and libraries.
Additionally, the Air Intelligence Module operates ventilation purifiers and vertical gardens based on real-time data from indoor air quality monitors, managing six indoor air quality factors?particulate matter (PM 10), fine particulate matter (PM 2.5), carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)?24 hours a day, achieving both clean air and energy efficiency.
On the 14th of last month, when fine dust was rampant nationwide, the daily average PM 2.5 concentration in Gangnam-gu, where Forever Plastic Surgery is located, reached 58㎍/㎥ (according to the Environmental Corporation), classified as ‘Very Poor’ by WHO standards. However, inside the Air Intelligence Lounge, the daily average PM 2.5 was 5.3㎍/㎥ (measured internally), exceeding the WHO’s ‘Good’ level and showing better figures than the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The performance of the Air Intelligence Module was proven by these figures.
Kweather CEO Kim Dong-sik said, “Recently, inquiries have been increasing from various spaces such as academies, schools, and offices requesting that specific indoor air quality factors like carbon dioxide and fine dust be guaranteed below certain levels according to the spatial characteristics. While the air industry has so far been a market focused on home appliances, it will change to an era of selling ‘Clean Spaces’ where service prices are determined based on the level of air quality provided.”
