On the 10th, Kim Hyung-oh, chairman of the United Party's nomination committee, announced the strategic nomination (priority nomination) of Hong Jong-gi, a Samsung Electronics lawyer, for Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, and the single nomination of Hong Yoon-sik, former Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, for Gangneung City, Gangwon Province.

Kwon, the incumbent representative of the Gangneung area, was cut off. Earlier, when the nomination committee accepted additional applications for general election candidates on the 9th, there was keen interest in the possibility of Kwon being cut off.

The nomination committee conducted nomination reviews for some areas in Seoul and the Honam region on the same day, but the results for the Honam region were not announced. Chairman Kim stated, "There will be no announcements today" and said the results would be announced later.
