"Come Visit Despite COVID-19" Jeju Shilla Hotel Launches 'Suite Honeymoon' Package Jeju Shilla Hotel Exterior View

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] As concerns about overseas travel rise due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Jeju Island has reemerged as an alternative honeymoon destination.

Jeju Shilla Hotel announced on the 10th that it recently launched the 'Suite Honeymoon Package' for honeymooners as inquiries for honeymoon stays have increased.

Jeju Island was once a mecca for honeymoons due to its exotic atmosphere. After the liberalization of overseas travel, it became a tourist destination mainly for general tourists, but recently, as overseas travel became difficult due to the impact of COVID-19, it has been highlighted as an alternative honeymoon destination.

The Jeju Shilla Hotel Suite Honeymoon Package offers 'Suite Sumbi Photo,' which allows guests staying for two nights or more to capture honeymoon memories in photos. The existing Sumbi Photo service, which provides snap photography at the hotel and creates photo albums, has been combined with the 'newtro' (a new interpretation of retro) trend to help guests preserve special memories in photos.

Jeju Shilla Hotel decorated its banquet hall with a 1980s wedding hall concept, evoking memories of weddings from the parents' generation. Newlyweds can also capture their memories in photos either inside the hotel or in the Sumbi Garden. For customers who find professional wedding snap photography burdensome and are not confident in self-wedding photography, simple props such as bouquets, veils, and boutonnieres are available for rent, and hotel staff will assist with the photography.

Meals can be chosen from breakfast or lunch at the buffet restaurant 'The Parkview,' and a two-hour benefit at the Petit Cabana (once during the stay) is also provided. For stays of three nights or more, a camping village dinner for two is offered.

Additionally, to enjoy a relaxing hotel vacation, 'Olleh' bar offers 'private check-in' from 12 PM to 4 PM, and a late check-out service until 2 PM is provided. After leisurely enjoying the hotel stay, guests can use the free shuttle bus operating from the hotel to the airport at 3 PM for their return.

When traveling from Seoul to Jeju, parking at a designated parking lot near Gimpo Airport is supported with parking fees covered for the duration of the stay at Jeju Shilla Hotel. Reflecting hygiene concerns, hotel laundry services are also available at a 50% discount.

For premium Suite Honeymoon Package guests, additional benefits include a sea view deluxe room, Lounge S access for two, and one-time room service with a welcome cake and house wine. For premium stays of two nights or more, a wine party is also provided once in addition to the Suite Sumbi Photo. For stays of three nights or more, a glamping village dinner for two is offered.

A representative of Jeju Shilla Hotel stated, "It seems that more newlyweds are heading to Jeju due to anxiety about traveling overseas," adding, "March and April are also good times to spend romantic moments with warm weather and blooming flowers."
