Opens on the 9th... Enhancing Convenience for Residents and Strengthening Communication and Participation Features... Events Including Finding Typos and Posting Congratulations Messages Until the 31st of This Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) has completely revamped its district office website.
On the 10th, Guro-gu announced that it had newly redesigned the district website to enhance convenience for residents and strengthen communication and participation functions, opening it on the 9th.
This website overhaul was carried out for the first time in eight years since 2012. The need for improvement had been raised due to increased congestion from accumulated content, complicated membership registration procedures, and changes in the mobile-centered internet environment.
Accordingly, Guro-gu pursued the website redesign considering both design and functional aspects.
First, 87 individual sites that were operated by department and field were integrated into a single main website for unified management. Writing posts became possible through mobile phone or i-PIN identity verification without separate membership registration, greatly reducing user inconvenience.
The website design and menu structure were changed to reflect the latest web trends, and responsive web design was applied so that optimized screens can be viewed not only on PCs but also on various smart devices.
Additionally, a ‘Integrated Reservation Service’ linked with various education, cultural events, and facility rentals, a ‘Comprehensive Civil Service Desk’ gathering frequently used civil affairs in one place, and an ‘Online Communication Platform’ for residents’ policy proposals and participation were newly established. A lifestyle map service that allows a quick view of safety, welfare, and administration status, as well as a user-customized search service based on information usage analysis, are also provided.
To celebrate the launch of the new website, Guro-gu prepared a resident participation event.
Until the 31st of this month, events such as finding typos and program errors, posting improvement suggestions or congratulatory messages will be held. Participants will be awarded mobile gift certificates through a lottery.
A Guro-gu official said, “We expect to enhance convenience and accessibility through this website redesign,” and added, “We will do our best to operate the website so that various district administration information can be delivered quickly and efficiently.”
