[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On Tuesday the 10th, spring rain will fall nationwide and gradually stop starting from the western regions from noon.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between 5 and 11 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 7 and 14 degrees Celsius. Expected precipitation amounts are 20 to 60 mm in Gangwon Yeongdong and Jeju (over 80 mm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island), 10 to 30 mm in southern Chungcheong and southern regions, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and 5 to 10 mm in southern Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo, northern Chungcheong, Seoul and northern Gyeonggi, and the five islands in the West Sea. Snow accumulation of 1 to 5 cm is expected in the mid-northern mountainous areas of Gangwon.
Fine dust concentration is forecasted to be 'bad' in southern Gyeonggi, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and South Chungcheong, and 'good' to 'normal' in other regions. However, in Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi, fine dust concentration will rise to 'bad' levels in the morning.
Sea waves will be 1.0 to 3.0 meters high in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters high in the East Sea and South Sea nearshore. Offshore wave heights are forecasted to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea, and 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea. Gusts and localized thunder and lightning may occur in the South Sea, so caution is advised for maritime safety accidents. The southern and western coasts will experience higher sea levels due to the astronomical tide period when the Earth and Moon are closer. Caution is needed to prevent flooding damage during high tide in low-lying coastal areas.
