Jungnang-gu urgently distributed and delivered relief supplies supported by the Hope Sharing Association to food markets and welfare centers within Jungnang-gu.
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) received 480 boxes of rice noodles, 500 boxes of hand sanitizers, and 3,000 bottles of water from the nonprofit organization (Sa) Hope Sharing People on the 6th, intended for elderly citizens facing difficulties due to the suspension of free meals amid the spread of COVID-19.
Sponsored by Nongshim, LG Household & Health Care, and Jeju Samdasoo, the donated items from (Sa) Hope Sharing People were delivered to food markets and five social welfare facilities within Jungnang-gu. These will be distributed as substitute meals for low-income elderly who are unable to receive meal support due to COVID-19.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We are grateful to (Sa) Hope Sharing People, Nongshim, LG Household & Health Care, and Jeju Samdasoo for their urgent support during these difficult times,” adding, “The donated items will be properly delivered to elderly citizens struggling due to the suspension of free meals amid the spread of COVID-19.”
