This Spring's Women's Wear Captures Both Elegance and Practicality with the 'Easy Feminine Look' Uniqlo.

Unlike the past few years when genderless trends were in the spotlight, this year, the 'Easy Feminine Look,' which combines softness, elegance, activity, and practicality, is expected to gain popularity. Brands are showcasing items that emphasize femininity and practicality rather than casual styles.


According to industry sources on the 10th, Handsome presented 'EPIC' as the keyword for this year's women's fashion trends, derived from the initials of Elegance and Practicality. Since last winter season, sales of skirts, blouses, coats, and knitwear emphasizing femininity in Handsome's women's brands Time, Mine, and Lanvin collections have surpassed those of neutral styles like jeans and outerwear. Accordingly, Handsome plans to introduce tweed coats, dresses, and check-pattern jackets through its Time brand, while Mine will revive the 1970s popular 'Lady-like Look' style.

Uniqlo U, presented by the Uniqlo Paris R&D center led by world-renowned designer Christopher Lemaire, recently launched products inspired by independent and active women, combining modern silhouettes with functional materials. Representative items include the 'U Jersey Tailored Jacket,' featuring a travel suit concept with soft jersey fabric and flexible silhouette, and the 'U Stand Collar A-line Coat,' characterized by a naturally flared A-line silhouette with sophisticated volume. A Uniqlo official explained, "As more women pursue unique lifestyles in various daily settings such as work, school, and leisure, the 'Easy Feminine Look,' which combines elegant design with activity and practicality, will gain attention."


Samsung C&T Fashion Division's women's brand Kuho also unveiled new spring season products under the concept of 'Crossover,' which adds utility elements to feminine sensibility. This collection includes coats and setups in feminine colors like orange and lavender, with functional details such as leather belts on the waist and sleeves and large pockets.

Shinsegae International's women's brand VOV released a spring collection reflecting the lifestyle of women in their 20s and 30s who enjoy leisure between busy urban life and nature, presenting 16 products. The season's main product, the 'Layered Pleats Hood Dress,' is a set consisting of a long hood and a pleated dress, designed as a two-way style that can be worn separately or together, combining practicality.


Additionally, Tenmence, launched by Shinsegae International with the meaning of clothing that can be worn for 10 months of the year, has been so popular that it sold two months' worth of stock within a week of its release. Tenmence's products, including the representative 'Masterfit Jacket,' are characterized by combining practicality and femininity.


An industry insider said, "The movie 'Little Women' ranked first in the foreign box office on its opening day in Korea, showing the growing interest in independent and active female images across lifestyles," adding, "The fashion industry is also introducing various new products that satisfy both elegance and practicality."
