[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Dongseo Foods announced on the 9th that it will launch ‘Oreo Thins Raspberry Mousse,’ a dessert cookie capturing the fresh flavor of raspberry, to welcome the upcoming spring.
‘Oreo Thins’ is a dessert cookie that combines thin and crispy cookies with cream reminiscent of cake, making it perfect for a light treat with coffee. The new product, ‘Oreo Thins Raspberry Mousse,’ features the incorporation of raspberry, a fruit mainly used in premium desserts such as cakes, pies, and macarons, into the cookie. Compared to the existing Oreo, it is about 43% thinner, adding soft raspberry mousse cream to the light and crispy cookie, allowing consumers to enjoy both the unique sweetness of Oreo and the refreshing taste of raspberry simultaneously.
Marketing Manager Kim Hong-joo said, “This new product is a cookie that highlights the fresh and sweet taste of raspberry, which has not been seen in existing snacks, and we expect it to be greatly loved especially by female consumers in their 20s and 30s,” adding, “We hope you enjoy a relaxing dessert time this spring with a cup of coffee paired with Oreo Thins Raspberry Mousse.”
Meanwhile, Oreo Thins Raspberry Mousse (84g, 24 pieces) will be sold nationwide at discount stores for 1,300 won.
